Our international student body continues to grow. With students of more than 70 nationalities, one of our biggest challenges is to make you feel at home. To provide you with the best support, our university has created the Hospitality Package, a series of services aimed at foreign students who learn cooking and management with us. Take advantage of them and enjoy your Gasma experience to the fullest!
To help you with all the arrangements before coming to Spain, our International Admissions Office has designed an exclusive package of services which will make settling in to your home much easier.
But there is more! Do you need a Spanish telephone number? Do you want us to pick you up from the airport? Would you like to get private health insurance for the first few months of your stay?
Find out about all the services we can offer you before you even arrive in Spain.
ASSISTANCE IN FINDING ACCOMMODATION
From Hospitality Services we can help you find your future accommodation, by putting you in contact with our accommodation providers and letting you visit those options that best suit you. You will find a wide range of accommodation options: rooms in dorms, apartments to share or even small studios in Castellon.
OPENING A BANK ACCOUNT IN SPAIN
You are offered the possibility to open a free bank account at our collaborating bank. Having a Spanish bank account enables you to take care of your payments in Spain (such as the payment of the tuition fee and the rent) and provides you with a Spanish debit card.
SUPPORT IN THE MANAGEMENT OF ACADEMIC DOCUMENTATION
To be enrolled in a Spanish university, international students must obtain a document that proves they have successfully completed their secondary education. This document is called credential for European students and countries with an education agreement, and Homologation for the rest. We help you gather all the necessary documentation for this procedure. Please note that the cost of the homologation fee is paid by the student.
MANAGEMENT OF RESIDENCY DOCUMENTATION
In order to reside legally in Spain, it is necessary to obtain the NIE (Foreigner’s Identification Number) and/or TIE (Foreigner’s Identity Card) for non-EU students. We take care of the management of the necessary documentation that you have previously provided us and we accompany you in person to the Immigration Office. We also assist you with any other instance necessary to comply with current regulations.
PICK-UP AND ACCOMMODATION FOR THE FIRST NIGHT
We offer you the possibility of being picked up by a cab upon arrival at the airport in Valencia or Castellón or at the train or bus station in Valencia or Castellón, and taken to a hotel in Castellón, where you have a single room reserved in your name for the first night of your stay.
TOURIST INFORMATION, LEISURE AND CULTURE
We will also provide you with tourist information about the city and province of Castellón: this way you can start to familiarize yourself with your new surroundings.
After your registration (reservation and enrollment), you will have access to an online platform to learn and practice Spanish (or another language, if you already speak Spanish). You will also be able to participate in an on-site Spanish course during the summer, organized by levels.
We will provide you with a public transport card that enables you to use bus and tram during your first days in Castellon.
We will provide you with a prepaid SIM card that will allow you to talk and surf the Internet right from the start.
