Begoña Rodrigo

Gastronomy

Begoña Rodrigo (Valencia, 1975) studied industrial engineering and thought that design was her thing until, at the age of 20, a vacation in Amsterdam turned into a total immersion in the world of cooking. She joined the Marriott hotel restaurant and left eight years later as head chef. She defines herself as: “Cook by vocation and as a final destination where to take my desire to create, learn and make things happen”.

Rodrigo has developed a solid professional career over the last decade, focusing on product research and unconditional support to local producers in his community.

In 2005 he opened his restaurant La Salita, in Valencia, which after 14 years of dedicated work, has achieved its first Michelin star.
